What the Swipey Creator Community is
Until September 2026 every Custom AI on Swipey stayed inside the account that made her. The Swipey Creator Community, released on 23 September 2026, adds a publishing layer on top of Create AI. A member submits a character, the Swipey team reviews her, and once approved she appears for everyone, with a "by @username" credit that follows her across the home screen, the Feed, her profile and the leaderboards.
Other members can open a published character and chat with her the way they chat with any companion. They can follow her, follow you as her creator, and donate hearts to you. The characters with the most activity rise on two leaderboards, one for creators and one for characters.
The Community sits next to the Verified Creator Models programme and does not replace it. Verified Creators are real adults who passed KYC and signed a model release; their companion is an AI version of a real person. Community characters are fictional characters that members designed in the builder. Both kinds live in the same app, and the difference between all three companion types is defined on SwipeyHQ.
Who can publish an AI girlfriend, and how
Two conditions apply to everyone. You need an active Premium subscription, and your Discord account must be linked to your Swipey account. The link runs through Discord's own sign-in and authorisation screen (OAuth). The official server is on the Discord and community page.
- Have an active Premium subscription. Submissions are a Premium feature. The Premium plan on swipey.ai lists everything else it includes.
- Join the Discord and link it. Join the official Swipey Discord and connect your Discord account to Swipey through the Discord authorisation screen.
- Finish your Custom AI. Build her in Create AI (realistic or anime, body, hair, eyes, skin tone, outfit, personality mix, voice, scenario) or refine an existing character in Edit My AI. Once she is published she cannot be edited, so this is the last moment to change her.
- Submit her for review. Send the character to the Community from the app. Each account has a daily submission quota; we do not reprint the number because it is set inside the product.
- Wait for the decision. The Swipey team approves or rejects every submission. A rejection comes with a reason. Fix what it names and resubmit.
If you do not have a character yet, start one in Create AI on swipey.ai. Most people finish the builder in under two minutes, and the builder's handbook on MySwipey covers every option.
How the Swipey team reviews submissions
Nothing reaches the Community without a person at Swipey looking at it. Each submission is either approved, and goes public, or rejected with a reason. A rejection is not a ban. You can change the character and send her again, within the daily quota.
Swipey has not published a full checklist for the review, so we will not invent one. What is certain is that the baseline rules that apply everywhere on Swipey apply here as well: adults only, nothing illegal and nothing involving minors. The members' version of those rules is on the community guidelines page, and the binding text is Swipey's Terms of Service. If a rejection reason is unclear, email hello@swipey.ai.
What "permanent" means when you publish
This is the rule to read twice before you submit. Publishing is permanent. In the first version of the Community:
- A published character cannot be made private again.
- A published character cannot be edited. Her look, name and personality stay as they were when she was approved.
- Deleting the character does not unpublish her.
The practical advice follows from that. Publish a character you are happy to see credited to your username for as long as the Community runs. If you want to keep experimenting with a character, build a second Custom AI for the Community and keep the first one private, or finish all your changes in Edit My AI before you submit. Your private characters are unaffected by anything you publish.
Followers, hearts donations and leaderboards
| Feature | How it works |
|---|---|
| Creator credit | Every public character shows "by @username" on the home screen, in the Feed, on her profile and on the leaderboards |
| Followers | Members follow the characters and creators they like |
| Hearts donations | Members can donate hearts to a creator as a thank-you |
| Leaderboards | Top creators and top characters, ranked by interactions, with followers as the tiebreaker |
| Posts | Media generated for a public character is posted on her profile; the creator can hide posts |
Interactions are the messages other members send to a character. A character that people keep talking to climbs; a character that collects follows but few conversations does not. When two entries have the same number of interactions, the one with more followers ranks higher.
Donations are paid in hearts, Swipey's reward currency, the same currency used for gifts and tips. Hearts come from daily quests, permanent tasks, the 7-day streak, level-ups and the daily spin, or from packs sold in the app.
Posts on a public character's profile are unlocked with hearts. Members without Premium see them blurred. The unlock cost is set inside the app and changes, so it is not reprinted here.
How members find community characters
Two places surface published characters. On the home screen, community characters carry a Community tag, so you can tell them apart from Platform Models and Verified Creator Models on the card itself. In the Feed, Swipey's TikTok-style scroll, a Community filter narrows the scroll to published characters and their posts. The leaderboards are the third route: they list the top characters and the creators behind them, and every entry links to a profile.
From a profile you can follow the character, follow her creator, open a chat, and see her posts. Open the Feed on swipey.ai and switch on the Community filter to see what members have published so far.
What the Creator Community does not do
The first version of the Community is about credit and reach. It is not an income programme, and the limits are specific:
- No cash payouts. Creators receive hearts donations and followers. There is no cash-out of hearts and no payout to a bank account in V1.
- Unlock revenue does not go to creators. When a member spends hearts to unlock a public character's posts, those hearts do not go to the character's creator in V1. Donations are the direct way to support a creator.
- No edits after publishing. See the permanence rules above.
- No real-person companions. An AI version of a real person is the Verified Creator programme, with KYC and a model release. That route is on how to become a Verified Creator.
| Creator Community | Verified Creator Model | |
|---|---|---|
| Who is behind the character | A member who designed a Custom AI | A real adult creator |
| Entry requirement | Active Premium, linked Discord, review by the Swipey team | KYC identity verification and a signed model release |
| How fans support | Follows and hearts donations | Fanclub subscription, hearts for sets, requests and tips |
| Cash to the creator | No cash payouts in V1 | Terms set by Swipey during onboarding; not published |
Privacy: what becomes public when you publish
A Custom AI you never submit stays private to your account, together with her images, videos and chat history. Publishing changes that for the one character you submit, and three things become public.
- Your username. The "by @username" credit shows wherever the character appears. Check the username on your profile before you submit, because every member will see it.
- The character herself. Her profile, look and personality are visible to every member, and anyone can chat with her.
- Her media. Media generated for a public character is posted on her profile automatically. You can hide individual posts, so review her profile after you generate something you would rather keep to yourself.
Because publishing cannot be reversed, the safest habit is to keep a private character for anything personal and use a separate character for the Community. Linking Discord connects the two accounts, and joining the official server makes you visible to other members there under your Discord name. How Swipey handles data is set out in its Privacy Policy, which is the binding text; we do not paraphrase it. Common member questions about the Community are also collected in the community FAQ.
Frequently asked questions
Who can publish a character to the Swipey Creator Community?
Premium members who have linked their Discord account. You need an active Premium subscription and a Discord account connected through Discord's authorisation screen. Each submission is reviewed by the Swipey team, which approves it or rejects it with a reason, and a rejected character can be fixed and resubmitted.
Can I unpublish or edit my AI girlfriend after publishing?
No. In the first version of the Community, publishing is permanent. A published character cannot be made private again or edited, and deleting her does not unpublish her. Finish her look, name and personality in Edit My AI before you submit, and keep a separate private character for anything personal.
Do Community creators get paid?
No, not in cash. The first version has no cash payouts. Creators receive followers and hearts donations from other members, and the hearts members spend to unlock a character's posts do not go to her creator. Real creators who want an AI version of themselves use the Verified Creator programme instead.
How are the Creator Community leaderboards ranked?
By interactions, meaning the messages other members send to a character. There are two boards, top creators and top characters. When two entries have the same number of interactions, the one with more followers ranks higher. Every entry shows the "by @username" credit and links to the profile.
